Photography Fundamentals – Learn basic photography to help unleash your creativity by understanding the fundamentals of this beautiful craft called photography.  I want you to learn the basics of photography. The only way to truly create spectacular images is to understand how your camera and light works; to learn the fundamentals of photography.

Many people rely too much on their camera and therefore do not take the time to learn the fundamentals of photography.  They give way too much credit to how ‘advanced’ cameras are now-a-days.  They put their camera in AUTO and shoot away.

I completely disagree with that.  I use top of the line professional DSLR cameras and I can tell you that as good as cameras are, they can easily be tricked by different lighting conditions.  I say that because cameras cannot read your mind.  They don’t know exactly what you want.  Because of this fact, cameras are programmed to take “safe” shots, not creative shots.  Many times this is all you want… a snap shot.  But if you truly want to create images that reflect your vision then you must know how to manually use your camera and understand the fundamentals of photography.

The Photography Fundamentals web site is the starting point in helping you learn the basics of photography.  I currently writing a book where you will be able to learn the fundamentals of photography.  I will update this site soon with more information on this book and future photography workshops.

My book, Photography Fundamentals – Learn Basic Photography to Unleash your Creativity, will be released in April 2012.  I will be posting updates in our Articles section concerning this book.  This book is the best way to learn basic photography.  It doesn’t matter if you want to learn photography for a hobby or if you intend to become a professional photographer.  In order to take beautiful photos and to truly be creative you need to understand the fundamentals of photography.  This book sticks to the basics of photography and does not go into to so much detail that only confuses you more.

The first step is learning the fundamentals of photography from this book.  After that you will be able to learn the specifics of the field of photography that you are interested in from other sources and by experimenting with your camera.
